Islamabad Introduces Electric Bus Service: 30 Buses to Operate on Two Routes

In a move towards sustainable transportation, Islamabad is set to launch electric buses, with an initial fleet of 30 buses scheduled to begin operation on Tuesday.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced that these electric buses will serve two routes initially. Feeder route 7 will connect the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital, while feeder route 4 will link PIMS to Bari Imam/Quaid-i-Azam University.

Chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the meeting revealed that the service will be available daily from 6 am to 10 pm, providing convenient transportation options for residents and commuters.
